Fun Craft App and Giveaway!

TutoTod is a craft application that gives directions and pictures of crafts to make using only 3 supplies and 3 tools. Great crafts for young kids.

(NOTE: I was given a free copy of TutoTod to review but all opinions are my own.)

Do you feel like you’re not creative? That you don’t have any craft ideas?

Do you feel like crafts are expensive? Or that you don’t have specialty craft tools?

Do you want to make a craft with your grandkids but you don’t have a lot of time to prepare for it? And not a lot of time to make the craft?

Don’t worry! Not a problem with TutoTod!

TutoTod is an iOS application that gives tutorials on how to make crafts — and the crafts require minimal supplies (ones you already have on hand) and minimal time.

Easy is the operative word here, folks. Easy, easy, easy. Let’s take a look at it.

After you open the app, you click start.

You will get a list of tutorials that use those supplies and tools. Simply tap on a tutorial to get started.

Here are some pictures of a few of the crafts.

This butterfly is one of the easiest crafts. It can be completed in 5 minutes. (While the directions call for just plain white paper, I think that this would be great fun to do using coordinating scrapbook paper. That would make the butterfly extra pretty!)

I love the crazy caterpillars eyes and antenna! That’s what makes him so crazy, don’t  you think?

I love tropical islands. I love the tropical birds that live on the tropical islands. And I love this tropicana bird craft! (Again, I think using scrapbook paper could really make the color on this bird pop!)

I’m not sure why, but this frog reminds me of the movie The Princess and the Frog. (I loved the New Orleans jazz music in that movie!) This frog would surely please all of your princess granddaughters! And even your princely grandsons.

As I write about this great app, the weather outside is hot. Blistering hot. As in almost 100 degrees Fahrenheit hot. I think Mr. Snowman would be one of the first crafts that I will make with my grandkids! We’ll eat lots of Popsicles while we’re making this cute little fella.

Don’t you just love the long legs on this chic chick? (Chic chick! Say THAT fast ten times! I think that scrapbook paper would add extra bling to this chick! Then, she would be the envy of all the birds in her flock.)

I loved trying different ways of making play dough with my grandma! It was fun squishing them and figuring out the best recipes.

Darling ideas! I’d love to win! I just completed a few paper crafts with two of my granddaughters. We made paper tube birds and necklaces strung with paper flowers and straw beads. We made “rain sticks” and little pinch pots from air dry clay. Lots of grandmas think they don’t have art talent and cannot craft with their grandkids. They need to see this app to discover that’s not true!

My granddaughter loves to enter my craft room and pick up a canvas and paint anything of her choice. She likes all kinds of crafts…it’s bonding time with me……

We made calming bottles. Filled a clear sturdy bottle with water and some clear glue and glitter, until the glitter moves slowly when the bottle is turned upside down. We also tried it using baby oil and glitter.
    Turned out great!

It is fun to let your grand kids be creative! I gave them all a sack and an 8″ sick. I told them we were going on a nature hike to find items for our stick people.
They had so much fun and you wouldn’t believe the crazy people they made.
