We had a family tradition as our kids were growing up. Our breakfast on Christmas morning consisted of eggnog and cinnamon pull-apart rolls. Yummy!
Eggnog can be a fun drink to serve at a New Year’s Eve party with your grandkids — especially if it is easy, easy, easy to make.
The thing that makes this recipe so easy is that you are most likely to have everything on hand. With the possible exception of the vanilla pudding.
Easiest Ever Eggnog
4 cups of milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 of a 3 ounce package of instant vanilla pudding
Put the milk in your blender. Add sugar, nutmeg, and pudding. (The pudding helps to thicken the drink so that the nutmeg doesn’t sink to the bottom.)
Blend on high for a few seconds. Pour in cups and serve.
Of course, you could use cream instead of milk. But then who has cream on hand all of the time? (And who wants all of those calories — especially when in less than a week you will have set a New Year’s Eve resolution to lose weight?)
