And, as always, I’m looking for ideas of things to do.
I recently stumbled across a fabulous site that has some monster doodles that I’m going to use at our party next week. Wahoo!
The content of the site is meant for teachers. However, these free printables can easily be used with your grand chickabiddies.
Celebration Doodles has some Halloween doodles that you can print up and have your grandkids color. Here are a couple to give you an idea of the things that are available.
Simply print them up, get out your markers or crayons, and let the kids color. (Grandma, you can color right along side of them, too, you know! 🙂 )
Then, there is a companion site that has nameplates. Click here to download and print some of them. There are two monster ones that you could easily use at your Halloween party. (There are other name plates that would be fun for your grandkids to color, too, that aren’t monster based.)
Do you have some far away grandchildren? You could print some of these doodles up and mail to them. Or, you could e-mail the site’s URL to their parents so that your grandkids to get them quicker.
You really need to bookmark the Celebration doodle site. They have doodles for lots of the holidays: New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
They have pages for other ‘days,’ too: Martin Luther Kind Day, Ground Hog’s Day, Chinese New Years, President’s Day, Mardi Gras, and Earth Day to name a few.
And they have doodles for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, retirements, and even a pet’s birthday.
And there’s more!
I’m a sucker for bookmarks. There is a page of 12 bookmarks that you can download, print, and have your grandkids color. There aren’t any Halloween themed ones but they are really cute and would be delightful to color.
Then there are the doodle caricatures. You print out the pages so that your grandkids could trace them to create their own caricature.
There is a color doodle page. Your grandkids can print down the word of their favorite color and then color the doodle.
You can poke around the site to see if there is anything else that catches your eye. There’s lots of stuff there!
