What I’m going to write about isn’t about Halloween. But then, it sorta is. Let me explain.

I found a website where you can create ‘motivational’ posters. You’ve seen them, I’m sure. There’s a gorgeous sunrise or picture of an eagle soaring through a deep blue sky. At the bottom is an inspirational saying.

The site, Big Huge Labs, is the place where you can create your own personal poster. You simply upload your picture, type in your saying, click the ‘save’ button — and the poster is saved to your computer.

Then, you can print it up on your printer or take it to wherever it is that you get your pictures printed. Way simple. Way easy. Way fun.

The picture here is a sample of a poster that I created in less than 2 minutes. Geez, those little munchkins are so stinkin’ cute. Don’t you think so?

If you want to turn this into a Halloween activity for grandchildren that’s around eight years old or older, here is what you can do. Before your grandchildren come over, jot down some motivational sayings. Find some gorgeous pictures of nature.

When your grandchildren come, let them go to Big Huge Labs and create a poster of their own choosing. Then print up the poster so your grandchildren can take it home.

If you want, you can have Halloween-themed pictures — black cats, pumpkins — that kind of thing. Put a joke on your poster or some saying that your grandchildren have come up with.
