Party in Your PJs #146

Party in your PJs is a Tuesday evening link party that starts at 7:00 p.m. (Mountain time) through Sunday night at midnight. Come and join in the fun!

Now, do I look like a weather obsessed person?

Nope.

Can I discuss topics other than the weather?

Most of the time.

But then . . . when the weather has been so spring-like the last few days, I just can’ t help but mention two things.

First, the weather has been SO wonderful! I’m glad that March will soon be here. To me, that heralds the end of sub-zero temperatures and freezing snow. Yes, it will still snow in March — and even April and May. But it won’t be the bone-chilling freezing cold snow of deep winter. It will melt within a day.

And speaking about snow. The second thing I’m going to mention is that it’s supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow. And the next day. (In fact, the wind is howling outside right this very moment — a precursor to the storm!)

I’m counting the days until March . . .

Ok. Now for my features.

It seems like I focus a lot on things for young grandchildren. Well, today’s features are a little different. They are food items that would be loads of fun to make with your tween or teen grandchildren. And they are both from the same talented person!

Last week, Erlene from My Pinterventures shared chocolate dipped mandarin orange slices. They look to. Die. For. And the sprinkles. They add such a zip of fun!

These chocolate dipped mandarin orange slices were features at Party in Your PJs link party.

Erlene also shared a recipe for a grape smoothie. Our kids loved to make ‘special drinks’ (that was back in the day before the name smoothie for a drink was ever invented). I’m sure your grandchildren would love making — and drinking — this healthy smoothie!

This fruit smoothie recipe was shared at Party in Your PJs link party.

Thank you so much, Erlene, for sharing your wonderful ideas. Don’t forget to grab our “featured on Party in Your PJs Link Party” button and share on your site!

Come participate in the Party in Your PJs link party.

I laughed out loud to read about your hope to be able to wear a sweater at least ONE day! And wanting to sleep in your flannel sheets!

When I retire, I plan on spending winters in Florida. I want to be able to enjoy your wonderful weather there!

OhMyGoodness on the weather – I have officially given up on ANY hope that I will be able to wear a sweater even one day this year. Seriously! I mean, I would flip out, I’m sure, in a REAL winter, but come on, I’m just asking for a day or two of sweater weather and a chance to sleep at least a couple nights on my cozy flannel sheets!
