Last week I went to a quilting expo in Salt Lake City. (That expo is quickly becoming my favorite activity to go to!)
There were lots and lots of beautiful quilts there! I am in awe of the skill and talent that those women had to piece the quilt top and then to quilt it. (They are at a PhD level while I’m still in pre-school!)
And, there were classes, too, My friend and I took several classes. Boy howdy! I learned a lot. I was excited to go home and quilt. I’m working on a small tabletop piece that I’ll put on my table for decoration. (Maybe I’ll show post a picture of it at the next party!)
My first feature is this fun tissue paper sun catcher idea this week is from Just Measuring Up. I love this because you use cookie cutters for the shape of your sun catcher. That’s a great idea for 2 reasons. First, you have a pattern to use. Second, it’s a small size so that little hands don’t loose interest before their craft project is done.
The next feature are these adorable mason jar succulent pots by Lolly Jane. They suggest this as a Mother’s Day gift. Which is a terrific idea. It can also be a craft that your granddaughters can make for themselves. (Hey! Maybe your granddaughter can make one for herself and one for her mother!)
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful ideas!
