Yesterday, all I did was lay around. And around. And around.
First, I laid on that bed. Then on that one, and that one and that one.
I wasn’t lazy. Really I wasn’t. I was working very hard!
You see, my husband and I went mattress shopping. My how mattress have changed over the years! Back in the day you had the options of size only. Then, mattresses had the options of regular, soft, or firm. And now? Oh my! More options than you can shake a stick at!
We finally decided on one. It happens to be king size. Which means my queen sheets and bedspread won’t fit. So I have to get new ones. Which means the curtains in my bedroom (that matched the old bedspread) won’t match the new ones. So I have to get new curtains.
And then there was the matching shower curtain that I had to get for our bathroom. I just couldn’t pass that up!
All of these changes might lead to painting the bedroom, too! But, sshhh, Don’t tell my husband. Let him catch his breath first. 🙂
My first feature today is from Larr over at Feathering My Empty Nest. She showed how to embellish Chinese lanterns. Oh my! How delightful. AND! I think that granddaughters would love making these — especially your teenaged ones. They would be a hit at a party with friends. You could do ANY kind of design — especially around for holidays. Great fun.
My second feature is from Howling at the Moon. Isn’t this party t-shirt fun? I bet all of your cat-loving granddaughters would love making this shirt. You can change the design to make it more masculine for your grandsons if you want.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful ideas! They are terrific!
