That means that on Halloween night parents have to drive their children around if they want to come to our house for trick or treating.
When our children were young, that’s what parents did.
Now, families in our area meet at a pre-determined location and do trunk-or-treat. So the kids just go from car to car to get the treats.
Which means that nobody comes trick or treating to our house any more.
I still buy candy just in case.
And then, I eat the candy!
Isn’t that a sneaky way to have a great reason to have candy in the house?
Well. Are you ready to party? I’m in my PJs. How about you?
My first feature is from Mindie over at The (mis)Adventures of a Homesteadin’ Mama. I absolutely LOVE her Halloween cookie sheet crafts! I think that grandkids would have a blast making these! I know that Halloween is over so put this in your day planner (you DO have one already for next year, don’t you?) so that you can make them with the grandkiddos next year.
My next feature is from Helen at 3 Winks Design. She shows how to take plastic Dollar Tree toys and turn them into Christmas ornaments. This would be a great craft to do with the grandkids, too! I especially think they would love the Disney figures. She has a video that shows how she makes them. That’s terrific!
Thank you so much Mindi and Helen for sharing your wonderful ideas!
