Are you off to a rip-roaring start?
I sure hope so!
I love starting a new year. It gives me time to reflect on the previous one and to remember with fondness all of the good times I have had with our family, our grandchildren, and our friends.
This year, I’m going to take an idea from my daughter-in-law. On her fridge, she posts a bucket list of things that her family will do for the year. Most of them are easy, simple, and don’t cost a thing. Like roast hot dogs over a fire.
So, I’m creating my own bucket list to do with my grandkids this year, If any of you have suggestions of what I should put on it, feel free to share your ideas with me!
My features this week are a little bit different than normal. These features are things for YOU personally, Dear Reader!
The first one is about setting goals that work by Mary Leigh over at Live Well Play Together. This is the time of year that people traditionally set goals. Mary Leigh has great ideas. I really like how she explains that goals are different from to-do lists! I appreciate her advice to embrace the season that we are in. Such wise words (from someone so young!).
And from me, here’s a question that is vital to keep in mind: does my calendar reflect the people important in my life? (Meaning – am I making time for the people that are important to me?)
My next feature is for you, too. It’s how to make storage from cardboard boxes from Eileen at Just Measuring Up. This is a great way to organize toys, games, dress-up clothes — or whatever! But you know, this would also be a great craft to do with tween or teen grandchildren to help them organize their possessions.
Thank you so much Mary Leigh and Eileen for sharing your wonderful ideas!
