This morning it was 16 degrees Fahrenheit when I went to work. Sixteen degrees! As in so-cold-that-if-you-snuffed-in-your-nostrils-will-stick-together.
But then I thought about the snowstorm that hammered the east coast over the weekend. We have never had a snowstorm like that. Ever.
I guess I should just buck up and endure the cold. But it sure sends my thoughts to tropical places like Bora Bora and Costa Rica — two of my favorite places on earth. Sigh.
My first feature is from Jessica at Domestic Bliss Squared. I absolutely LOVE this gold dipped heart-shaped bowl. Isn’t it divine? And perfect for Valentine’s Day even though it isn’t red or pink? Thanks so much, Jessica, for sharing this wonderful idea. (I’m going to head out in a little bit to get a bowl and some gold paint!)
My next feature is Fizzy Hearts and Stars from The Practical Mom. This would be a wonderfully different activity to do with your grandkids for Valentine’s Day. I think grandsons would especially love this activity. While it involves red hearts, no sugar is consumed. Sugar-less activities are good. (Sometimes. 🙂 )
