I love technology. It makes me giddy.
So, when Apple announced that a new iPhone would come out this month, I eagerly pre-ordered one.
It came yesterday. I got it set up for accessing my work e-mail.
Later in the afternoon, I made a call. Or more correctly, tried to.
I had difficulties with the audio. People couldn’t hear me. My giddiness faded away.
Come on Apple! What gives?
I was ready to take the phone back to the cell phone office at work and tell them that I would wait for a couple of months until Apple got its act together.
But then, I happened to chat with our computer support person and he told me to check to see if there was a software update.
There was. I updated my phone’s iOS. I made a call. The person could hear me! Now, let’s hope that it keeps on working . . .
Okay. Are you ready to par-tay! Great. So am I.
The last two times my six-year-old granddaughter came to visit, she asked if I would teach her how to sew. I find this remarkable as we have never had any discussion about sewing before!
So, when I saw these bandana pumpkins that Sarah over at Sadie Seasongoods made and saw how EASY they were to make, I thought that this would be a perfect sewing project for us to do together. I think that this would be something that she could easily sew on the sewing machine (under my supervision) and then do the hand sewing.
Aren’t these ‘sew’ cute (sick pun intended here, folks). I want to make a whole flock of them.
My second feature is this painted pumpkin jar by Katie at the Crafty Blog Stalker. I love her creative way for painting the face on. This looks like a super easy craft to do! (I love that the jar is filled with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. YUM!)
