Have you heard of #Light the World?
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (the Mormons) is sponsoring this idea. It is to help people to make time in their lives to serve, lift, and help others.
They have a calendar called 25 Ways, 25 Days that you can download and use. It has a scripture a day that provides a suggested topic. There are also suggestions on what service you could render that goes along with that topic.
I know that you’re probably busy with baking, shopping, wrapping, decorating, and all of the other things that come with the Christmas season.
But, I know that serving others is what brings true joy and lasting happiness — to both the receiver and the giver. So, take a moment and check it out. And see if you can find some simple way to provide service to someone in your circle of reach.
My first feature is this darling unicorn Christmas ornament. How fun! That’s what Julie at Sum of Their Stories shows us how to make. This is an excellent craft to get young girls sewing things by hand. I’m sure your tween and teen granddaughters would love to make this unicorn ornament. Fun, fun, fun!
This is the season for baking sweet treats. This gingerbread fudge recipe from Mrs. Kringle’s Kitchen will be a hit when you make it with your grandchildren. It looks so easy to make! Your grandkids could easily whip up a batch of this yummy fudge!
Thank you so much Julie and Mrs. Kringle for sharing your wonderful ideas!
