Here’s a great idea of a treat that is easy for you to make with your grandchildren. Rolo Cookie Brownies. Here’s the recipe.
Rolo Cookie Brownies
one package premade chocolate chip cookie dough
one box brownie mix
Preheat yor oven to 350 degrees. Spray a muffin tin with a vegetable oil spray.
Make the brownies according to the directions on the package. Put a heaping tablespoon of the premade cookie dough in the bottom of the muffin tin. Press it flat. Top the cookie dough with one Rolo candy. (When I went to the grocery store, they were out of Rolos so I used Junior Caramels. They aren’t as good as Rolos but they worked in a pinch. Since they were small, I used two in each cup.)
Top with the brownie dough until the muffin tin is 3/4 full.
Bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes.
This is yummy if you eat it warm with some vanilla bean ice cream. (I love, love, love vanilla bean ice cream.)
Try this recipe with different types of candy like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups or Junior Mints or a small Dove’s chocolate bar. When you make these cookie brownies with your grandchildren, ask what their favorite candy is and use that instead of Rolos.
You’ll be a hit with your grandchildren. This treat will be a hit with everybody. And everybody will live happily ever after!
