Songs to Sing with Grandchildren

Our family spent this past week-end at Bear Lake, Utah.  Had a great time!  One of my favorite activities was learning (or trying to learn) a new song to sing around the campfire with the family.

Our future daughter-in-law, Lisa, shared a song with our family that I just love!  (I can’t wait to meet her mother because it sounds like she knows TONS of those fun songs!!!)  I hope that I’ve convinced Lisa and Tyler to video tape themselves singing it so that I can post it to this site.

I’ve also remember a couple of other songs that we would sing with our children when we went camping.  When I get a moment, I will video tape those songs (they have actions) and post them here.

I’m leaving tomorrow for another conference for work and will be gone through Friday.  Then, Saturday is our niece’s wedding.  So it will probably be a whole week before I can get anything filmed.

‘Til then,
Digi-Gram

My grandchildren live in Corunna Canada and we live in Florida. My youngest Kaitlyn has discovered skype. I would love some short songs to sing to her. She is 4 and reads to us,

Here’s a link to two songs that I video taped. (It’s a rather poor quality but you at least you can hear the melody.) http://grandmaideas.com/songs-2

There’s the link to the song that I was referring to in this post. (It’s a hoot — even if I do say so myself . . .) http://grandmaideas.com/thanksgiving-activities-part2

Our family liked to sing the song BINGO. Here’s a link so you can hear it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XP3SzeYGoUI
