St. Patrick’s Day Activities

I know that St. Patrick’s Day is just a blink away. You might already have your activities for your grandchildren all planned and prepared. But, I thought that I would share a couple of fun and easy things that you can do to celebrate the holiday.

First, here is a link to free number-based bingo templates. Here is one that is has pictures instead of numbers. It is great to use for little grandchildren who don’t know their numbers.

leaping_leprechaun_smallHere is a cute leaping leprachaun craft that you can print, color and put together with brad fasteners. He’s such a cute little fellow!

Of course you’ve got to eat green food, you know. If your grandchildren like pistachio pudding, they will have lots of fun making this recipe. If they don’t particularly like eating the pudding, they’ll have heaps o’ fun making it. I guarantee.

Leprechaun Pudding in a Bag

1 tablespoon instant Pistachio Pudding
½ cup milk
Ziplock baggie

Put all of the ingredients into a Ziploc sandwich bag. Close making sure it is sealed tight all the way across.

Now comes the fun. Have your grandchildren squeeze and shake the bag. When the pudding looks thick, carefully open the bag and eat your pudding.

And last, here is a list of St. Patrick’s Day books. While it’s too late to order them from Amazon, you could see if your local library had them. Then, you could check them out to read to your grandchildren.

Have a great St. Patrick’s Day!
