The Perfect Name For You Giveaway

Giveaway! Giveaway! Giveaway!

It’s time for another giveaway!

This giveaway is for a wonderful book called The Perfect Name for You. This book was written by Jana and Barbara Houghteling — a very talented mother-daughter team. The concept behind the book is to help children learn to recognize and spell their name. It’s a very clever concept for a book.

The story is told in rhymes and the plot of the story revolves around animals celebrating the birth of a child. They bring their favorite things to spell out the child’s name letter by letter.  For example, the bear brings an H for honey; the hen brings an E for egg; an ant brings a P for a picnic. By the end of the book, the child’s full name is spelled out.

This book is great for grandchildren ages 2 through 6. It helps them recognize the letters that are in their name.

The book is illustrated by Angela LeClair. She’s done a great job. (My favorite is the elephant.  But then, the elephant is my favorite animal.)

You can personalize this book. In addition to having the book spell out a child’s name, you can include a picture of the child, their birth date, and even have a personalized dedication especially from you. This is cool because that makes the book one-of-a-kind — personalized especially for your grandchild.

Go here to check out The Perfect Name for You.

This book would be a perfect birthday gift for a young grandchild. I highly recommend that you check it out.

Barbara is very gracious and is allowing me to give away a book to one of my readers. I love giveaways.  They are so fun.

So here’s the deal. All you have to do to enter the giveaway is to leave a comment and tell me what you favorite animal is. That’s all.

The giveaway will close at midnight on Friday March 2. All comments need to be posted by that time. I will use random.org to select the name of the winner. I will announce the lucky winner on March 3. Be sure to check back to see if you won.

Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book. However, that did not influence my opinion of the product.

Well, as a child I grew up with farm/ranch animals. I love chickens! I also love horses and goats! But it’s a tie between chickens and horses.

I like elephants and birds. When I was a child I remember enjoying looking at pictures of them. In another two weeks, I will be Grannie Annie again to a little baby girl. I would like a book like this to read to her as soon as she can enjoy books.

I love bears! They look so cute, so cuddly and yet they can be very aggressive especially when a mother bear is protecting her babies! Reading children stories about animals is always a big hit whether its with my 1 1/2 yr. old granddaughter or the 10 year olds I work with at school. This book is a fantastic idea!
