I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I REALY like ‘easy’ — easy to make treats, easy to do crafts, easy to prepare for activities.
Easy is my modus operandi.
So, I think that you’ll like these 3 easy no-bake treats. They aren’t hard to do. In fact, the hardest thing is refraining from eating the supplies while you are making the treats! (Can you tell I don’t have self-control? Sigh.)
And these treats don’t take very long to make. Especially when you can coerce get Grandpa to help you make them. When he realizes that he can eat as he assembles the treats, he’ll be more than happy to oblige!
Here’s the first treat.
Spider cookies.
To make these, all you need are pretzel sticks, double stuffed Oreo cookies, M&Ms, and frosting.
I cut each pretzel into thirds. Then, I shoved three pieces into the frosting on one side of the cookie and three more pieces on the opposite. These are the spider’s legs.
Then, I used a wee bit o’ frosting to glue the M&Ms on as eyes.
And that is it!
Here are some spiders ‘crawling’ around the ivy on a dinner plate. Don’t you just love those eyes?
Last year, I made some spiders using mini chocolate donuts and round pretzels. The round pretzels were a pain in the neck. While they made cute arched legs, they kept breaking in all the wrong places so it was hard to get a decent looking leg. These straight leg spiders are SO much easier to make.
Here’s a little something that I learned using cookies instead of donuts. I originally got some Western Family Sandwich Cream Cookies. Not a good idea.
The pretzel was too fat to go between the cookie pieces because there just wasn’t enough filling to hold the cookie together. Double Stuffed Oreos had oodles of frosting to make the cookie spiders. Go Oreo cookies!
Witch’s Hats
To make these you’ll need fudge stripe cookies, Hershey Kisses, a small tube of chocolate frosting, and a small tube of orange frosting.
Spread the chocolate frosting on the bottom of a kiss and place over the hole in cookie.
Add a small rectangle at the base of the kiss with the orange frosting. This makes a buckle for the hat.
And you’re done!
Witch’s Broom
To make these treats, all you need are pretzel sticks and the mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
After you take the wrapper off the peanut butter cups, jab a pretzel stick in the center.
Voilà! You are done! Have you ever made a Halloween treat that was any easier that this one? Just sayin’.
(The hardest part of making these is refraining from eating all of the peanut butter cups while unwrapping them! And that is super hard for me . . .)
For some reason, these little witches hats stole my heart. Is it because I love the mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups? Could be.
Now, if you have a witch’s broom and a witch’s hat, don’t you think they go together? Aren’t these the cutest ever?
So there you go, Folks. Three easy, no-bake Halloween treats for your party with your grandkids. Mine is today. I can’t wait for the little tykes (and their parents) to come!

Hi I was wondering if you had any ideas for me and my husband we are grandparents to our granddaughter she lives in Illinois we live in arizonia . We can’t go to her first birthday party because they are expecting baby number 2 in January and I can only make one trip that close together. I was thinking of making a video to send to get but don’t know what to do or say that’s would be cute and will hold her attention
The witches broom treats are so cute! I’m adding them to my treats list for our Halloween party 😀
