Do you need a game to play at a party? Like a party on New Year’s Eve? (Or any other type of a party for that matter?)
Then look no further, my friend.
I have the perfect game for you.
It’s called What’s on Your Cell Phone. It’s a hoot — and it’s super easy to prepare for and simple to play.
All you need are pencils for every player and a copy of my free printable.
Here’s what the printable looks like. (Don’t use it for printing. You won’t get a good copy. Use the link above.)
After handing out the pencils and the printable, tell the players that they can earn points depending on what they have on their cell phone. (The printable explains the point system.)
For instance, players get points for things like:
- having the Facebook, Instagram, or Chrome app on their phone
- if they have a picture of their mother
- if they have lots of songs on their phone
- if they have games on their phone
- if they have books in the Kindle app
- if they have a to-do list
And much, much more.
If you want to play another round, you can create your own point system. You could give them points for:
- pictures of famous landmarks such as the Grand Canyon, the Statue of Liberty, or the Eiffel Tower
- if they DON’T have games like Solitaire or Angry Birds on their phone
- if they have a text from their grandmother
- if they have sent a text to a family member who is 6o years old or older
- if they have a Beatles’ song on their phone
- if they have over 200 contacts
- if they have an alarm set
- if they follow 4 or more cities in a weather app
- if they have more than 5 things scheduled on their calendar for the week
- if they have a list of books they want to read
- if they have over 20 notes to themselves
- if they have Google drive on their phone
- if they have a playlist in Amazon music
Of course you can create personalized things such as if they have sent a group text to at least 3 people who are in attendance at the party, or if you have other party members’ birthdays listed in their contacts, or have gone more than 3 days without calling someone who is at the party.
You get the idea, right?
New Year’s Eve will be here soon. Plan on playing this game.
And plan on having lots of fun!

hi i’m 8 years old and it blocked me. 🙂
Hi Gabe!
Such a young person you are for visiting a site for grandmas! I’m so glad you’re here — but sorry that you were blocked out. I’ll send it directly to you!

Hi Gabe,
I tried to send you the pdf but your school district blocked it. If you could give me another e-mail that wasn’t your school e-mail address, I can send you the game.
