10 Minute Christmas Craft

Here is an easy craft that you can do in 10 minutes or less!

Christmas is a busy time. So busy that you might feel like you don’t have time to buy supplies and do a Christmas craft with your grandkids.

Never fear! I have a super easy craft that will take you 10 minutes (or less) to make. And you won’t have to do a lot of running around to get the items to make it. And it’s inexpensive. Isn’t that wonderful?

Here’s a list of things that you’ll need:

Here are the supplies that you need for your easy Christmas craft.

I’m assuming that you probably already have some Mod Podge on hand. And a foam brush. And scissors.

I got the 5″ x 7″ canvas at Wal-mart. It came in a package of 3 so you can easily to this craft with 3 grandkids.

You’ll need to make sure that you print up the free Christmas printable at your local copy center because the picture needs to be a laser copy. (The ink will smear if it’s printed on an inkjet printer.)

First, cut out the free printable. I got it from the Graphics Fairy because she has some terrific free vintage graphics. (I love vintage pictures! Maybe that’s because I’m so vintage myself . . . )

Next, pour some Mod Podge on your small canvas.

Spread it all around with the foam brush. Check to make sure that the Mod Podge gets in all of the texture on the canvas.

Carefully place the graphic on top.

Firmly press the picture down onto the Mod Podge.

Make sure there aren’t any air bubbles under the picture. (If you do get one, you can poke it with a pin and press the picture down to get the air air out. Don’t ask me how I know this . . .)

Let me talk to you for a moment about the graphic.

In the photo above, you might notice that there is some white space on my canvas above and below the graphic.

As I was pressing the graphic down, I realized it was a tad smaller than the canvas. When I went back and looked at the graphic in my photo editing software, I realized it had a white border around it.

What!?!

I edited out that pesky border and made sure the graphic was the right size for you.

Okay.

You’re almost done now!

Pour some Mod Podge on top of the picture.

Spread it around with the brush.

Let it dry and voilâ! You’re done! (See. I told you this was an easy Christmas craft!)

You can display your picture on the small easel. Now you and your grandchildren have some vintage charm to add to your Christmas decorations!
