This Christmas candle craft is SUPER easy! And, it’s inexpensive. My kind of craft.
You can make a candle in minutes!
Wahoo! Let’s get this show on the road.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- candle from a dollar store
- white tissue paper
- card stock
- blow dryer
- wax paper
First, you’ll need to print a Christmas design on white tissue paper. Here are some clipart that you can download and use. Right click on the image that you want and save it.
Cut a piece of white tissue paper and tape it on a piece of card stock. Put the card stock with the tissue paper taped to it into your printer. Print your desired picture on the tissue paper and rough cut around the design (but not the card stock).
Rip off a strip of wax paper.
Place the tissue paper with the design on it on one side of the candle. Wrap the wax paper around the candle to hold the design in place. This is also so you can hold the candle and not get burned by the blow dryer.
Turn on the blow dryer and aim it at the candle where the design is.
After about a minute, the wax will be slightly melted. Remove the wax paper. Press the design into the melted wax.
Let the wax cool until it is solid.
Ta da! You’ve got your Christmas candle!
Emma is proud of hers.
Both girls love their candles!
They decided to put 2 pictures on their candle — on opposite sides.
Emma put these two Santas on hers.
Natalie used a wreath . . .
. . . and a reindeer on her candle.
Aren’t the candles cute? And festive?
