For the last hour, I should have been cleaning up all of the dust and mess from our remodeling of our family room.
But I didn’t.
I should have been putting things back in their place after our remodeling.
But I didn’t.
I should have been doing laundry, washing the dishes, sweeping the floor, fighting dust bunnies, picking out belly button lint, or cleaning out toe jam. All vitally important things to do.
But I didn’t.
What have you been doing then? you ask me.
Dear Friend, I’ve been playing with a new website that I just discovered. Isn’t that far better than cleaning, organizing, and doing productive things?
I’m sure you’ve seen on the Internet an image with a quote on it?
The site that I discovered creates those images in seconds. Mere seconds, I tell you. And you don’t have to have any special technological skills. Phew!
Can you type? Good. Then you can create an image without getting frustrated and feeling like you want to bash your forehead against a brick wall. In fact, I dare say that you will be so delighted with the whole process that you’ll make a flock of these images!
Before I share the site and tell you how to make your own nifty images with quotes, I want to share a few that I made.
I could have spent hours making these little quotes because they were so easy and fun. But one does have to draw the line sometimes!
Okay. The cool site where you can make these quotes is called Quozio. All you have to do is find a quote (or create your own saying/quote), type it in, click the “Go” button, and you’re done!
If you don’t like the background image or color or texture or font, you can choose from 36 other options.
To save your creation, right click on the image and select ‘Save image as’ and save it.
But wait! There’s more.
This site also has a bookmarklet that you can save to your browser bookmark bar. When you see something on the Internet that you think would make a great quote, highlight the text and click the bookmarklet. Voilà! You’ve got your image.
Now, you can make a grundle of these and send them off to your grandchickabiddies. You could print them up as a picture and give to the grandkiddos. Or make some up as bookmarks, table place settings at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Sunday dinners, tea parties, or when you eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch.
Even better, sit down with a grandchild. Together, create your own sayings. Or find some on the Internet. Let your grandchild make the image. Let her decide how she wants to use the image. It will have more meaning for her when you do.
Now go. Have some tech fun!

I love it! Another reason not to get my housework finished! Love your quotes and I”m going to have fun making some of my own! Thanks for sharing!
You find such amazing – and free – things for us to do!
I like these a lot, and I am impressed with the wise Lois Wyse…she sounds as in love with her grandchildren as we are!
