Fabulous Coloring Books

These fun coloring books appeal to kids!

(Note: I was given several free copies of the Color With Me coloring books but all opinions are my own.)

Did you know that the first coloring books were meant to educate children? Parents gave them to their kids with the hope that it would give them an advantage in life. Huh! Who knew?

Did you know that the first adult ones were published in 1962? They mocked corporate life. (“This is me. I am an executive. Executives are important. They go to important offices and do important things. Color my underwear important.”) I wish I could see one of those, don’t you?

The coloring books I’m reviewing today aren’t meant to educate. They aren’t meant to be a spoof or to make a political commentary.

In my opinion, They have a better purpose. The goal of the Color With Me coloring books is to help families be intentional about spending time together. They want families to spend together, to bond together, to create lifelong memories.

That’s an awesome purpose!

And their purpose dovetails so nicely with my mine — building strong families!

What’s so different about these coloring books?

I’m glad you asked.

Most of them are put together like regular books. One normal page after another. But not these coloring books! No siree Bob!

Instead, they have an upside-down layout. One page is a normal. The opposite page has the exact same page to color but it is upside-down!

Why in the world is it that way? you ask.

That’s an awesome question! Thanks for asking.

This layout makes it so, so, SO much easier for 2 people to color together using the same coloring book.

It provides a great opportunity for 2 people to spend time together. Time having fun. Time being creative. Time talking and laughing. Time away from technology.

And they are awesome coloring books. Hats off to the talented illustrator! All of the designs to color are very appealing and fun. Kids will love them. Absolutely!

These books have a variety of themes to choose from. There’s the dinosaur theme.

Little girls will love coloring these pictures with their dads. This is a superb way for fathers and daughters to strengthen their relationship and create fond memories.

Sometimes siblings have a hard time getting along. (Only sometimes???) I’m sure that they’ll have boatloads of peaceful fun coloring together. (Nobody would fight when coloring, right?)

I bet your granddaughters love unicorns as much as mine do. Unicorns, flowers, rainbows — another great theme.

Santa, snowmen, Christmas trees, presents. This frosty snowman is so fun!

This granddaughter absolutely LOVES coloring and she absolutely loved coloring these Christmas pages.

So in a nutshell here’s what I love about these coloring books:

  • The designs are playful, fun, and appealing.
  • I like the variety of the themes.
  • I REALLY like that the book covers are sturdy and that they will stand up to lots of use.
  • I like that they pair a child with other family members — Mom, Dad, brother, sister, grandma, grandpa, and even a friend.

But best of all, I love that these coloring books bring people together, that they can have a fun time together, that family bonds can be strengthened. Strong family ties are the best things in the world!

(Man oh man, I’m sure glad my 9th grade English teacher won’t be reading this. I have used an overabundance of exclamation points. Like over 20 of them! Exclamation points are used to emphasize something. I hope all of these exclamation points will emphasize just how much I love these coloring books!)

These coloring books sell for $6.99. Please visit Color with Me and check them out. They would make terrific Christmas and birthday gifts!
