(Note: I was given given the products to make this Christmas ornament from the Oriental Trading Company in exchange for writing about my experience. However, all opinions are my own.)
Lots of the fun at Christmas time is making decorations for your home and tree. There’s lots of satisfaction for creating something special for the holidays.
Making them with grandkids is extra fun! (This is a way to create memories and build strong relationships with your grands!)
These washi tape Christmas ornaments were about the easiest craft that I have ever done!
With all of the shopping, wrapping, decorating, shopping, baking, partying — oh and did I mention shopping? — easy is VERY welcome.
(The hardest part was finding the tape end! See Simon and Elliot patiently waiting, waiting, waiting . . . Funny thing is that Simon was better at finding the ends of the tape than I was! So glad to have his help.)
To make this craft, all you need are clear glass ornaments and red and green washi tape.(You can find the items for this craft here.)
I must say that I am VERY impressed with the ornaments. The glass is thick and sturdy. They will not break in little hands — and not even if they are accidentally dropped.
Simply cut strips of tape and randomly place them on the ornament.
My grandsons loved all of the tapes that the Oriental Trading Company sent me so we had to use every single one.
“I can cut it myself,” insisted four-year-old Elliot. And so he did.
Simon is proud of his ornament.
Elliot is proud of his.
There was no fuss in preparing for this craft. No mess to clean up afterwards. No hassle. How cool is that?
After my grandsons hung their completed ornaments on their Christmas tree, they decided to make an ornament for their little sister since she is only one year old and really can’t make one. They were extremely coorerative and worked so nicely together to make her one. They are such terrific big brothers!
I don’t know about you, but I’m not too thrilled with the idea of battling hordes of shoppers during this holiday season. It’s not my idea of a fun time.
I absolutely loved sitting in the comfort of my own home and shopping on the Oriental Trading Company’s website for the items needed for this craft. And, I loved how quickly I got them in the mail. So easy. So convenient. So pleased!
I loved browsing through their Christmas store. They have Christmas decorations, stocking stuffers, decorations, party supplies, and even Christmas candy. So many choices!
They have a section of Christmas crafts. (That’s where I got the idea for these washi tape ornaments.) They have ornament crafts, DIY crafts, photo ones, religious ones, decoration ones, and coloring ones. It’s amazing how many ideas there are.
Will you be throwing a Christmas party? The Oriental Trading Company can be your go-to place. They have party supplies for things such as tableware, napkins, decorations, and party favors.
They have even created a dedicated Christmas site with recipes, crafts, decorations and more.
They also have winter-themed crafts and winter party supplies. When it’s after Christmas and too cold for your grandkids to go outside, they can stay inside and make snowmen, snowflake, or penguin themed crafts. They can color with stackable snowmen crayons or create an artistic blizzard with winter stamps. Sweet!
You’ll build lots of fond memories with your grandchildren when doing crafts and activities from Oriental Trading Company!
