When I was little, my parents subscribed to a children’s magazine for us kids. It had an activity section in it where you would find hidden items in a picture. I enjoyed searching for those items. (This was the ancient precursor to the current I Spy books!)
As our kids were growing up, they loved the I Spy and Where’s Waldo books. They spent hours looking and looking and looking.
I loved that because they were occupied, happy, and not fighting. A win-win situation all around. (Do you think that is why my parents subscribed to the magazine — more for peace and quiet instead of intellectual stimulation?)
I’m discovering that my grandchildren love the I Spy books, too.
There must be something inherent about these I Spy books that speaks to kids’ souls.
With that in mind, I created a free printable for a Halloween I Spy activity that you could do with your grandkids at your family Halloween party.
Or, when you go and babysit them.
Or that you could e-mail it to those far-away grandchildren. They would be thrilled go get this from you! Trust me.
Here is the free printable for you. Simple click on the image below and print.
And here is the key. Click on the image and print.
Here’s wishing one and all a Happy Halloween!

What a fun and cool idea! I’ve never seen points assigned to an iSpy! Great math element there! 😉 I love it!

Oops! I’ve goofed and haven’t made things clear. That’s just the number of a certain monster that can be found in the game.
