Make Stickers for Your Grandkids

Sticker paper

(NOTE: I was not given this sticker paper for free nor was I paid to write about it. I just love using it to make stickers.)

Stickers. There’s something about stickers that speaks to kids. (And grandmas like me.)

Sometimes when you buy stickers, you put out a whole lotta moolah and don’t get very many stickers.

I recently stumbled across this sticker paper. The thing that really spoke to me was that it was for inkjet printers. I daresay that the majority of families own an inkjet printer (like me) and not a laser printer. It’s much easier to make your own stickers when you can print them at home instead of trying to print them at a copy center.

So I set to work and created stickers to give to some of my grandkids.

Then I printed them.

Now I want to pause momentarily to talk a wee bit more about the sticker paper. It is quick drying — within 5 minutes. Sweet. It is water and scratch resistant. Sweet. It’s made with a strong, water-based self-adhesive that sticks to wood, metal, glass, and plastic without smudging. It is tear proof. It is easily removed without a trace or residue. Sweet, sweet, and sweet.

I wasn’t sure if my grandkids would apply their stickers to a mug, water bottle, or something else that would be washed in a dishwasher. So I decided to spray them with a clear glaze to make the ink more permanent.

Put clear glaze over your sticker page.

I put the stickers on waxed paper while they dried.

Let your sticker pages dry.

Then I gave the stickers to my grandkids.

They loved them! Emma kept saying over and over, “There’s my name! How did you get a sticker with my name?” (I guess she didn’t understand that I was the creator of the stickers so of course I could make a sticker with her name on it!)

She loves hers.
He loves his.
She loves hers, too.

I made pdf files of the stickers for you, Dear Readers, so you can download, print out, and use. Click on the title above the image to download it.

You can make your own stickers if you have a word processing program. Create a document and add clipart of things that your grandkids like and type in their names.

The possibilities of stickers that you can create are endless!
