(NOTE: I was given this box of crafts but all opinions are my own.)
Years ago, I had a neighbor that was a craft wizard. Everything she made was gorgeous. Nary a smudge of acrylic paint, crumpled ribbon, nor errant glob of hot glue. Professional looking crafts. Every. Single. Time.
And my crafts? Well, they look like something made by a kindergartner. Using her non-dominant hand. With her eyes shut. While flushed with the flu. And coughing all the time.
Keeping that in mind, I use three guiding principles for the crafts I do with my grandkids. The craft has to be easy to make, inexpensive, and not time consuming. (Those type of crafts are definitely not in the same ballpark as my wizardly neighbor’s . . . )
Today, I want to share something that fits my criteria perfectly: a craft box from Crafty Mother.
Inside this box are paper cup crafts, paper bag crafts, and paper plate ones. Eighteen crafts in all.
Each envelope contains everything you’ll need for that craft. (Well, almost everything. Some things that don’t fit in an envelope are inside the box.)
My granddaughter had a hard time deciding which craft to do first. (They are all cute so deciding wasn’t easy.)
Special tips (such as how to make toes on pipe cleaner legs and how to make sure the glue holds really good) are included.
She decided to make a spring flower craft. (Maybe this will encourage spring to come. Maybe? I am so beyond cold, snowy weather . . .)
Some of her completed crafts. (Isn’t that raccoon the cutest ever?)
And this elephant! Elephants are my favorite animals.
There are so many things that I like about this box of crafts. First, is the box itself. It is so pretty!
I love how the wording of ’18 Awesome Paper Crafts’ is arched instead of a in a straight line. I love how the text is a gradient of rainbow colors.
I love the animal graphics. That turtle! That cow! So appealing!
I love that each craft envelope is a different color. Color abounds all over the place here!
I love the diversity of crafts. It’s not the same type over and over. Kids’ definitely won’t be bored.
I love that everything you need is provided for you. That saves me lots of time. I don’t have to step inside a craft store at all. I don’t have to search aisle after aisle trying to find things to make the craft. (Say good-bye to sore feet because you won’t have to trudge all over town looking for supplies. No time spent shopping means no sore feet. Wahoo!)
I love that neither you nor your grandchildren need to be craft wizards to make these. Phew!
Best of all, I love the fact that I don’t have to buy a whole package of yellow paper cups or blue paper plates when I only need one. Huzzah!
This box of crafts makes a great birthday present, or an Easter basket replacement, or a Christmas gift. It’s also great to have on hand when grandkids come to visit. Head over to Crafty Mother and check it out.
This craft sings to my soul. It sang to my granddaughter’s. I predict it will sing to you and your grandkids, too!
