Valentine’s Day is around the corner.
Now, you can go to your local big box store and buy a Valentine for your grandkids. There are lots to choose from — unicorns, super heroes, dinosaurs, Mickey Mouse. You name it, you’ll probably find it.
Except.
Those are generic. If you gave your grandkids one of those Valentines, it would be just like ones that every other kid will get.
B-O-R-I-N-G!
Why not jazz things up? Why not give them a Valentine that nobody else will get? Why not give them one with their name as part of the design? And best of all, why not give them one that YOU made personally for them?
Hmmm?
Well, technology to you rescue!
There is an online site that you can use to create your personalized Valentine for your grandkids. It’s easy and fun to use. That website is Word Art.
The site is pretty intuitive to use — even if you feel like you aren’t very tech savy.
Look at the picture below. See where you’ll type in the words?
When you’re satisfied, click on Shapes. Select the heart shape that you want. You can then choose the font, layout, and style if you want.
Now comes the fun.
To the right-side of the picture above, there is a red Visualize button. See it in the picture below?
Click on it. Within a few seconds, you’ll see your creation. Here are some that I created.
If you don’t like how your creation turned out, change it! Tweak it. Add new words. Delete others. Change the font. Change the layout.
When you’re satisfied, click the Download button to save it to your computer. You can then print it off.
You could also dress it up if you want. Glue it to a doily, card stock, or scrapbook paper. Add glitter, lace, bits and bobs. Whatever floats your boat.
Your grandchild will love her Valentine — and know that you love her to infinity and beyond!
