(NOTE: I did NOT receive a free game of Rummikub to review nor am I getting paid to write about it. I’m writing about it just because I like the game.)
Our family loves playing games together.
In fact, when our youngest was two-years-old, he begged me to play Uno with him. All. The. Time.
Just the two of us.
Do you know how boring it gets to play that game with a two-year-old for over an hour?
But, being the wonderful mother that I am, I played it with him. And played it. And played it!
Now that I’m a grandmother, I love playing games with my grandkids. (However, I must admit I steer them away from Uno!)
The other day, my oldest granddaughter and I played Rummikub.
And we had a delightful time!
It’s fairly simple to learn how to play.
You place the tiles face down on the table. Each player draws tiles and places them on their tile board.
Players take turns placing tiles down face up in runs and in groups of tiles of the same number. Similar to the rummy card game.
The fun thing is that players can take the tiles their opponents have laid down and rearrange them in their own groups or runs.
The first player that lays down all of her tiles is the winner.
That’s it in a nutshell.
This is perfect for a grandma to play with only one grandchild. You can have a terrific one-on-one time together! (And, it’s way more fun to play with only one grandchild than Uno is!)
You can get Rummykub on Amazon for $18. This would be a perfect game to have on hand in your game closet. (Or, a perfect game to give a grandchild for a birthday or for Christmas!)
I give it two thumbs up!

This is one I haven’t played. My son loves playing games with me. Going to have to get this one for sure! Thanks so much for sharing with us at the Whimsical Wednesdays Link Party!
