(NOTE: I was given this craft by the Oriental Trading Company but all opinions are my own.)
I love the color red.
And the color white.
Especially at Christmas time!
So when I saw this little reindeer craft with adorable red and white candy cane antlers and a red and white polka dot nose, I thought that it was absolutely adorable!
And I knew that I wanted to make it with my grandkids!
One of the best things about this craft is that it is super easy — and quick to make. Does it take any special skills? Only the skills of peel and stick!
This is the perfect craft for a family Christmas party. Or for when you are babysitting the grandkids while the parents go Christmas shopping!
Let’s take a look at it. Everything that you need for each individual reindeer comes in its own plastic bag. Sweet.
This is what you get in a bag.
To get started, take all of the items out of the bag. Read through the directions.
Punch out the candy cane striped antlers, the red and white polka dot nose, and the white circle.
Peel the backing from the back of the candy canes. Press them on top of the brown antlers on the face form. (It’s kind of hard to see in the picture but they really ARE taking the backing off and putting the candy canes on the antlers!)
Remove the backing from piece that has the eyes on it. Press it onto the face form so that the eyes are in the correct position. (Somehow, my fine photographer — my sister — didn’t get a picture of this!)
Take off the backing of the mouth and press into place on the face. (She missed getting a picture of this, too. Sigh . . .)
Peel off the backing from the polka dot nose and press in place. (Ah ha! She took THAT picture!)
The next step might need two people if the grandchildren making this craft are very young. Remove the backing from the white circle. Fold the red cording in half. Put the cording on the back of the ornament and place the sticky side of the white circle over the ends of the cording. Press firmly so that this holds the cording onto the ornament.
Voilá. You are finished.
Isn’t this just the cutest little reindeer that you ever did see?
My other grandkids loved making these reindeers, too.
This candy cane antler reindeer ornament craft kit comes with 12 ornaments. Cool! If you have 12 (or less) grandchildren, you only need one kit.
Like I said earlier, this craft is a perfect activity to do at a family Christmas party — or ANY time that you are with your grandkids during the Christmas holiday season! Grandkids will love making it and putting it on their Christmas tree.

I just LOVE Oriental Trading craft kits they are so fun and take the guesswork out of preparing; especially when you have a group of kids to contend with. Thanks for sharing with us at the Virtual Fridge. Pinned.
Thanks so much for pinning! I really appreciate that. Merry Christmas!
I love Oriental Trading Co – I leaned on them a lot when my own kids were young. The Reindeer ornies are really cute!
I need to use Oriental Trading Company more! My grandkids always enjoy the activities/crafts I do using their products!
Nina, these are cute as can be! I think kits like this are great to have on hand for those times you need to be able to pull a craft out of your hat! The grandkids have so much fun making them and always seem to come up with variations to the original. Thank you for sharing them at the #BloggingGrandmothersLinkParty! I pinned to my Christmas Creations board!
So cute. I love crafts that are easy and fun for young children. Many that I come across are too difficult for little hands. Thanks for sharing on Sunday’s Best.
