Note: I didn’t receive any remuneration for writing this article.
My daughter calls me ‘Grandma Paparazzi.’
And for a good reason.
I’m always pulling out my camera — or iPhone — and snapping pictures of my EXTREMELY photogenic grandchildren.
They are so dang cute that I just can’t help myself.
If you’re anything like me, you have a plethora of pictures of your little sweetie pies! And what can you do with all of those photos? Why, create a photo collage! It’s simple and easy using FotoJet — you can create a fun collage in a matter of minutes.
(Like the picture above. Isn’t that fingerprint design clever?)
First, lemme show you a few that I made.
I love the 3-D features in this collage.
These shapes — especially the heart-shaped one in the center — are really fun!
And what about this collage? Using coconuts is definitely a unique idea, don’t you think?
Isn’t this ice cream cone design perfect for a collage of summer pictures?
I could go on and on and show you lots more photo collages from FotoJet. But I think you get the idea.
Wait! Just one more. Is that okay with you?
Gee, thanks. You’re swell!
So. Let’s take a look at this free online tool so you can get an idea of all its many features.
First, you need to know that this site is free. As in, it doesn’t cost you a single penny to make your creation. Woot, woot!
Second, you can use FotoJet to create a collage, card, or poster. Woot, woot!
Third, there are over 170 templates that you can use. (Ha! I bet you thought I was going to say ‘woot, woot’ again, didn’t you?) There are 5 theme areas: 3D, creative, modern, art, holiday, and classic.
You can add photos directly from your computer — or from Facebook. Nice.
You can add text. Delete it. Resizes it. Change to color. Change the font. (Oh, and they have a couple of really cool fonts that you don’t see in other online programs.)
You can zoom in and out of your photos, which helps with the placement in the themes. You can click on the photo and drag it around to show the exact part that you want. You can flip or mirror the image or rotate the image clockwise or counterclockwise. Sweet.
(This isn’t a photo editing program so you won’t be able to edit the photo at all. Just thought you’d like to know . . . )
There are just two small things that I wish were different. First, I wish you could resize the text boxes. Pretty much, you’re stuck with the size that FotoJet gives you. That’s kinda stinky.
Second, I wish that you could move the text box position. You can’t. That’s stinky, too. Maybe they will make some changes in the next version of the program. I sure hope so!
You can save your creation to your computer — or share it on Facebook. (All of your FB friends will be so impressed with your skills!)
There are two words that best describe this online photo collage maker: easy and fast. In mere minutes, you can create a fabulous collage. I give it two thumbs up. (I’d give it more if I had more thumbs . . .)
This would be fun to use with a grandchild — selecting the theme, the photos to use, and inserting the text. This really boosts your creativity!
Your grandchild could print up the collage and frame it, or hang it in their locker, give a copy to a friend for a gift, use it in a DIY project (like Mod Podging it to a coaster, transferring it to fabric and making a pillow out of it) or using in a scrap book.
So grab a grandchild and head on over to FotoJet. Have some fun together. Create a whole flock of collages.
You and your grandchildren can have lots of fun with this program.
Enjoy!

This is the coolest thing. I’m impressed with your skill here. I’m lucky to just get the photo taken, uploaded and hope it all goes well from there. To bad we didn’t live in the same community, I’d PAY you to teach me.
