This ghost candle craft takes mere minutes to complete. Kids love it — and it’s super inexpensive. Plus, there isn’t any mess whatsoever. Can’t get any better than that!
All you’ll need are some white candles from your local dollar store and some black Sharpie pens. That’s it!
Then, all your grandkids need to do is draw a ghost face on a candle. A spooky face. A surprised one. A creepy one. Whatever.
Such concentration!
Such glee!
Such happiness! My grandkids absolutely loved this craft!
(I should have gotten more candles. They wanted to make more ghosts!)
You might notice that my grandkids used more than just black Sharpies. And that’s okay.
You also might notice that they drew more than one face per candle. And that’s okay, too.
The most important thing is that they used their creativity. (And the second most important thing is that they had fun.)
If your dollar store is like mine, you can get a package of 4 small candles for a dollar. To add variety, you could get one or two taller candles to have a variety in sizes.
Since the candles are so cheap, your grandkids could easily make 4-5 ghost candles — or more! Then, they’d have a whole flock to put around their house to add to the Halloween decorations.
And wouldn’t it be neat to cluster the candles together and then light them at night?
So you don’t feel left out, all of you grandmas, you could make some ghosts, too! Wahoo!
