Flash — A Great Family Game

Flash the Lightening Fast Game is a fast-paced game for ages 7 and up. Great to play on New Year's Eve, at Christmas or birthday parties -- or just for fun!

Are you looking for a game to play with your grandkids on New Year’s Eve?

Are those kiddos tweens and teens?

(Maybe even adult grandchildren??)

Wonderful! I have a great suggestion for you.

Our daughter gave us a game for Christmas. (Wahoo! I love games.)

It’s called Flash the Lightning Fast Game. It’s a dice game for 2 to 6 players, ages 7 and up.

It is is very easy to learn and fun to play which means it’s a perfect game to play with grandkids.

This game has colored dice, scoring chips, and a scoring pad.

Flash is a fun family game that you can play on New Year's Eve, at Christmas or birthday partys, at family gatherings -- or ANY time!

All players roll their dice at the same time. they set aside the dice that makes up the challenge they are working on. When they achieve the desired dice combination, they yell “Flash!” and collect the highest scoring chip available.

Scores are entered on the scoring pad when the challenge is completed.

The game ends after all of the challenges have been completed. Everyone’s scores are totaled up. The one with the highest points is the winner.

Here’s a close-up of the scoring pad so you can see what challenge options there are.

In a nutshell here’s how you play.

Flash is a fun family game that you can play on New Year's Eve, at Christmas or birthday partys, at family gatherings -- or ANY time!

You’ll notice that rounds include things like trying to get 3 pairs, all even dice, or all Flash symbols. (The symbol is a bolt of lightening.)

This game reminds me of Phase 10 where each round players work on different card combinations. Only, in Flash you work on different dice combinations.

This game goes really fast. Keep playing until you detect that your grandchildren are ready to move on to a different activity.

You know, one game isn’t enough for a party — especially on New Year’s Eve. You’ll need several more.

Here are some links to games and activities that I have previously written about.
